If you are to awake tomorrow and I am gone
And you realize in the midst of your yawn
Do not fear or cry away but instead pray
For it was God’s call to many and I was the one to obay
Lifted away in my sleep
I plead thee do not weep
For I am as God said, his sheep
And now with God my soul he shall keep
I am gone but present
In thy heart I reside
So smile through those teary eyes
For in this moment there will be no goodbyes
As a wise man once said
Come all and we shall break bread
God and I broke bread
And in return he keeps my safety as I rest my head
Trust in God my dearest for even he says
“He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds (4 psalms 147:3)
My dearest he does as he speaks
He helps the strong and the meek
So do not cry
For I am safe up high
And no my dear I am not lost
I am forever in the light of day
I am… Gone Away
